HOW DOES RADIESSE® WORK?
RADIESSE ® works by activating the body to generate collagen naturally. Once injected, it reconstructs the skin's foundation, temporarily filling in facial folds and wrinkles. Calcium-based microspheres function to boost collagen production. Over time, the product gets absorbed by your body. RADIESSE ® also rejuvenates facial volume for a more youthful appearance.
WHERE CAN RADIESSE® BE INJECTED?
RADIESSE ® is injected in the following sites:
- Lines that run from either side of the nostrils to the corners of the mouth (smile lines).
- Facial lines that develop near the corners of the mouth (marionette lines).
- Chin area where skin loses volume over time.
- Horizontal lines.
HOW IS THE TREATMENT PERFORMED? IS IT PAINFUL?
RADIESSE ® treatments are by injection. The procedure lasts approximately 30 minutes. A topical numbing cream will reduce discomfort; it adds an extra 15 minutes to your treatment time.
HOW SOON CAN I EXPECT RESULTS?
The results are seen immediately. The product continues to work with your body to develop new collagen and replenish tissue. Results may vary depending on several factors such as the patient's age, the severity of wrinkles and lines, and lifestyle.
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
RADIESSE ® is one of the longest-lasting injectable fillers currently on the market. On average, results can last between 12-15 months, depending on the severity of your facial lines and the areas you have treated. Other dermal fillers can last for six months to a year.
WHAT MAKES RADIESSE® DIFFERENT FROM OTHER BRANDS?
With RADIESSE ®, you get safe, clinically tested, FDA-approved credibility. More than 250,000 clients have experienced Radiesse, and more than 4,000 physicians have been qualified to give treatments. RADIESSE ®, composed of calcium-based microspheres, has been found to stimulate natural collagen production. Results last up to a year or more in most patients due to this unique formulation.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM TREATMENT WITH RADIESSE®?
Age does not define candidates for facial rejuvenation. People of various ages opt for facial rejuvenation to delay or enhance noticeable signs of facial aging. If you have onset wrinkles and fine lines, then you may be an excellent candidate for treatment. The safety of RADIESSE® has not been established in patients who are expecting or nursing or under the age of 18.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
Common side effects of the treatment may include swelling, redness, pain, bruising, tenderness and itching. These are short term.
